We are so excited for the opportunity to be involved in this amazing FREE arts event celebrating Birmingham’s rich cultural scene.
We invite you to join us in our world of play and creativity, designed for children and adults of all ages and abilities.
Our yurt is a quiet retreat from the noise and excitement of the festival; maybe you have very young children, need to breastfeed, or you are caring for someone who just feels a bit overwhelmed.
Be immersed in creative processes as you experiment at and explore materials and objects. Sensory props, both natural and upcycled, are used in our three distinctive areas:
The Mud Kitchen
Marvellous mud, messy and playful, with access to all the essential natural ingredients for making potions and the perfect mud pie.
Build, play, create move...endless possibilities meets endless imaginations.
Explore tactile fabrics, light and shade, and decorative, interactive art works. Experience stimulating aromas from planted herb boxes. Suitable for children 3-11 years, perfect for those who need a tactile sensory environment.
We will be based in Parkside building, Birmingham City University, 5 Cardigan St, B4 7RJ
Sat 5th & Sun 6th October, 11am - 5pm
There is a jam packed program of free events you can attend over the weekend. Check out the full programme here http://www.birminghamweekender.com/
